Excelsior Library in the East Lot

During its December meeting, the Excelsior City Council passed a resolution demonstrating its willingness to sell part of the East parking lot to accomodate a new library. The library currently is adjacent to the West Lot, in the building that also houses City Hall.

While few details have been shared regarding how the East Lot was selected as the preferred site in the resolution, coverage by the Sun Sailor can be found here.

So, readers, where do you think a new library should be placed? Is it necessary to keep it in downtown Excelsior? How far should the city go to accomodate the improved library?
